The Schedule

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We had a rainy Christmas, but it was a nice excuse to stay inside and hang out with the family.

So, my two weeks of being lazy at my Mom and Dad's house is almost over, and frantic packing mode has kicked in once again... On Weds, I hop on a plane to Delhi. I figured it would be good to post my schedule here, so you can all sort of keep track of where I am.

So here's what has been scheduled so far:

Weds Dec. 28th Philadelphia to Chicago, Chicago to Delhi India, arriving Dec. 29th.

Sun. Jan. 8th - 22nd, volunteering with conservation projects in Jaipur, India with i-to-i

Sat. Jan. 28th Delhi, India to Bangkok, Thailand

Sat. Feb. 11th Bangkok to Taipei, Taipei to Los Angeles, arriving Feb. 11th

I can't promise that I will be able to keep this site updated on a regular basis, since it depends when and where I'll have a chance to stop at an internet cafe. So the updates may be a bit sporadic, to say the least. But I'll do the best I can!

Vegas Weekend

OK, so it's not exactly as exotic as India and Thailand, but last weekend I was in Vegas with my sister and one of her friends. I figure I need some practice at this blogging thing, so I'll bore you all with info about that trip!

We saw Keith Urban on Friday,
then Dierks Bentley and Cross Canadian Ragweed on Saturday - the last night of their joint "High Times and Hangovers Tour". They were all on their way to a hangover the next day, that's for sure - made the show entertaining since I was waiting to see if Dierks would fall off the stage at some point. But he still sounded great.... And I saw a guitar get smashed on the stage for the first time. I would never have guessed that would happen at a country show, but it did!
It was a country themed weekend since the national rodeo finals were in town. We were literally surrounded by a sea of cowboy hats. It makes Vegas a bit less pretentious when country comes to town.

The top photo is from open mic night on Sunday. My roommate acted as my guitarist. We performed Long Black Veil, Me and Bobby McGee, and Summertime (acapella). I think it went pretty well. It was definitely fun!

That's the update!

The Ice Storm Cometh

Hi everyone!

I'm in Pennsylvania at my Mom and Dad's house now. I arrived last night after two days of abolutely frantic packing.

This afternoon we are due for a big ol' ice storm - the last prediction I heard was for at least a quarter inch of ice. So it looks like we'll be hanging out in the house for the next day or so. We're predicting that the power will be out for at least a while, so we have water stored up and luckily Mom and Dad have a gas stove in the basement. Ah, winter in the northeast!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I made it here!
